The Rabbit Hole is a 2-acre block just past the town edge of Upper Hutt. The block comprises “a bit of bush, a bit of garden, a bit of paddock and a bit of river” – and endless opportunities. As we work towards reducing our impact on the earth, using permaculture principles and all the common sense we can find – we dream of sharing our learnings with those who wish to take better care of their planet, their communities and themselves. We dream of sharing our place with those whose journey meets ours. We dream of fresh, healthy, abundant food and hearing bird song, laughter, music and wind.
It is when you choose to seek that you can find answers.
And it is only when you fall down the rabbit hole that you will discover wonderland.

The Rabbithole values
Kaitiakitanga / Guardianship - We take care of our land and our selves, taking responsibility for our actions, thoughts and the impact both are having on the natural world around us.
Hīanga / Play - We discover our true selves, experience nature, let go of our old paradigms through play and experimentation. Everything is safe in the realm of play.
Ataahuatanga / Beauty - is where we care for our human-ness. Allowing ourselves to marvel in beauty is a step towards re-connecting with the earth. We seek beauty in our surroundings and in our souls.
Mōhiotanga / Understanding - We create lasting change within ourselves if we can fully understand the world around us and each other.
